Making Medicine

Medicine has multiple associations for me. Many traditional people on this continent see medicine as healing for the body and as a landmarks for the journey of the spirit. My best teachers have taught me to know a plant’s properties through my senses. My father was a doctor and a spy.

Medicine in my Country is a work in progress that explores medicine and illness. How they work together in ways that generate a sustainable moment. I come to this as an artist considering the relationship between technology and nature and as a western herbalist in advanced study. Also I just want to muck around.

The writing folds dreams, theories of the interface, phenomenology, plant communication, ideas of wilderness, pop culture, spies, the history of communication systems, temporality and landscape.
